Kortez Hita-Duval Image

Kortez has consistently demonstrated leadership, school spirit, and a commitment to service, making her a well-rounded and respected student leader.

A passionate advocate for Māori culture, Kortez has excelled in Kapa Haka, Te Tuinga, and inter-house events, earning the Sir James Henare Award for Excellence in Bilingual Education.

A standout athlete, Kortez has competed at regional and national levels in Northland Hockey, NSSSA Athletics, and Māori Hockey. As a coach for Year 7-8 students, she has mentored younger athletes, earning multiple service and Best All-Round Sportsperson awards.

Kortez has been part of the 100+ Club and gained an Excellence Diploma multiple times, securing top placements in English, Science, Māori, and Physical Education. Her resilience and strong work ethic make her a role model in the classroom.

Respected for her integrity, teamwork, and positivity, Kortez has excelled in whānau leadership, mentoring, and service projects. Her dedication is reflected in her  attendance and ability to balance academics, culture, and sports. Kortez embodies the values of leadership, service, and excellence. Her ability to inspire, uplift, and lead with integrity makes her a deserving Head Girl for 2025.

 

Robyn Ruha Image

Robyn’s selection as Head Girl reflects her exceptional leadership, academic excellence, and dedication to her school and culture. She embodies respect, responsibility, and service, making her a deserving recipient of this role.

A high-achieving student, Robyn has excelled across multiple subjects, earning top academic awards, includiong the Year 12 Cultural Award, the Arthur William Hart Trophy and the Sir James Henare Award for Excellence in Bilingual Education. Her strong work ethic and passion for learning set a powerful example for her peers.

Robyn is a dedicated leader in Kapa Haka, participating in Matariki performances, school pōwhiri, and community events. Her contributions earned her multiple cultural awards, and as a School Ambassador, she has helped foster pride in te ao Māori through outreach and mentorship.

Respected for her confidence and kindness, Robyn leads by example in inter-house competitions, netball, and school mediation. As a student representative on the Board of Trustees, she advocates for her peers, ensuring their voices are heard.
Robyn’s leadership is grounded in hard work, humility, and service. With a strong presence in academics, culture, and student advocacy, she is set to inspire and uplift those around her.

 

Kayden Hall Image

We are proud to recognize Kayden as our Head Boy for the coming year—a young man whose journey at Bream Bay College has been marked by dedication, resilience, and a strong commitment to his school and peers.

From the start, Kayden has embodied what it means to be a well-rounded student. His early involvement in cultural activities, including the Year 7 & 8 Cultural Award and the school production, showcased his school spirit, which he continues to demonstrate through his enthusiastic participation in inter-house events.

Academically, Kayden’s perseverance and work ethic have led to impressive achievements, including second place in Year 12 Agriculture and Horticulture. His respectful and inclusive nature has earned the admiration of both peers and teachers.

On the field, Kayden’s leadership shines. A key player in the Bream Bay College 1st XV Rugby Team and Senior League Team, he not only excels athletically but also mentors his teammates and fosters teamwork. His involvement in the Adam Blair Rugby League competition further highlights his dedication to the sport. Beyond academics and sports, Kayden’s initiative and drive are evident in his successful Gateway Work Experience Placement, preparing him for future opportunities.

His friendly and approachable nature, combined with his natural leadership, makes him a respected and valued member of our school community.

 

Levi Watts Image

Levi has been chosen as Head Boy for his outstanding leadership, dedication, and contributions across academics, culture, and sport. He has consistently demonstrated strong academic achievement, earning first place in Year 12 Agriculture/Horticulture and successfully attaining Level 2 NCEA.

However, it is his remarkable sporting accomplishments that truly set him apart. A talented athlete, Levi has excelled in rugby and league at both school and representative levels. He was a key player in the Bream Bay College 1st XV Rugby Team, the Senior League Team, and the Rugby 7s squad. His skill and commitment earned him spots in the Northland Rugby League Representative teams, including the Ngā Puhi Ahi Under-17 League Team and the Northern Swords Under-16 Team. On the field, he leads by example, mentoring younger players, supporting his teammates, and contributing to house competitions.

Beyond sports, Levi is a respected role model within the school community. Punctual, well-presented, and mature, he consistently upholds high standards. His strong self-management skills, enthusiasm for outdoor education, and dedication to cultural and co-curricular activities highlight his well-rounded character. Levi’s ability to inspire and uplift those around him, both in the classroom and on the field, makes him a truly deserving and admired Head Boy.
