BYOD - What does my child need?
Bream Bay College is a Bring Your Own Device School. At Bream Bay College a device is highly recommended. The College recommends a Chromebook for Year 7 students. It is also recommended you bring the chromebook to and from school in a protective case.
What do I need for Uniform?
This is available at The Warehouse, Bethells or our School PTA does have some 2nd hand uniforms for purchase. This is normally open the week before school starts. See Uniform page. Shoes are mostly black. Sandals must have back straps ie: No jandals. Hats are to be mostly black, either baseball caps or bucket hats. Small logos are fine.

What happens on the first day ?:
The Year 13 students will greet all new students and guide them towards the Library. At 9am all new students and staff be attend the Pōwhiri in the auditorium, parents are welcome. Following the Pōwhiri students will get to know their Whānau groups. We will go over routines, participate in getting to know you activities, and go exploring around the school. We will take students to the bus bay and make sure each child goes on the correct bus home.
Who is my child’s teacher?
Year 7 students don’t just have one homeroom teacher for their learning, they have three teachers working with them. In 2024 these teachers are Victoria Foster, Amanda Nearing, Heidi Hinsch, Tracey Inglis, Francina Linton, Tivaan Doak-Smith and Raewyn Perkins.
What does my child need to bring on the first day?
Students just need to come ready to have some fun, wearing sunblock, with lunch, a drink bottle and togs (as they will be having a dip in our school pool).
